Two Capes Lookout

An elevated stay on the Oregon Coast.

Set on a former logging and quarry site, Two Capes Lookout pairs thoughtful design with land preservation. Private sites, low lighting, and restored wetlands keep nature front and center. Choose a mirror cabin or a geodesic dome, then let the Oregon Coast set the mood, with the beach and trails close by.

What it's like

Set between Cape Lookout and Cape Kiwanda, this 58-acre hideaway feels quiet and close to nature without being out of reach. Trails cut through Sitka spruce and pass a historic quarry with a year-round waterfall before opening to sweeping Pacific views. Sites are spaced for privacy and oriented toward forest or ocean. Low, night-sky lighting makes the stars easy to see. Life moves at an easy pace here, pausing at viewpoints, listening to wind in the trees, and watching weather roll across the water.

Small touches

Two Capes Lookout offers two distinct ways to stay, straddling lush green forests and cliffside ocean views. The geodesic domes are airy and elevated with spacious interiors, thoughtfully placed for privacy and reached by gentle trails lit for stargazing. The mirror cabins rest within the Sitka spruce forest, their reflective floor-to-ceiling windows vanishing by day and glowing softly by night.

Eat and drink

There is no dining on site, which nudges you toward nearby Pacific City's small but lively scene. Within minutes, you'll find casual spots by the water, refined coastal kitchens, coffee shops, wine bars, and a grocery store for provisions. Bring back favorites for a patio picnic or gather by the fire. Domes and cabins are stocked with tea and coffee, so mornings begin quietly with a warm mug and fresh ocean air. They also include a mini fridge for storing drinks or leftovers, and microwaves are available upon request.

And more

For those staying in a cabin or dome on the South Cape, you'll have the convenience of dedicated parking near your unit. If your stay is in one of the domes on the North Cape, a little adventure comes with the territory, as you'll leave your car in the main lot after check-in and reach your dome on foot or with a ride from staff-operated electric passenger carts. The walk to these domes is a short uphill journey along gravel paths, so be ready for a bit of exercise. And if you arrive after hours, self-service wagons are available to help you get to your unit.
